When you visit Gouves, you essentially get two destinations in one. Pano Gouves, an old village with its charming white houses and churches, is nestled into the side of Mount Ederi. On the other hand, Kato Gouves, a seaside town located at the foot of the hill, offers a range of bars, restaurants, and hotels. Gouves is conveniently located just 25 minutes away from Crete’s capital city of Heraklion and a mere 15 minutes away from the island’s largest resort, Hersonissos.

Guests have the choice of six outdoor swimming pools, two of which are children’s pools and one that has waterslides for the kids (big kids are welcome too!). There are also plenty of sunbeds dotted around, ready for you to dry off in the sunshine. Indoors, you can find an indoor pool, sauna, fitness centre, and massage treatments available at the spa. Further facilities include table tennis, air hockey, billiards, a kids club, and a kids’ playground. Evening entertainment, including live music and a disco, is also provided by the hotel.

Delicious international and Greek buffet-style meals are served at Estia, the hotel’s main restaurant.
