STANDARD ROOM – NO BALCONY

Rooms are spacious, arranged in a way to achieve functional, yet comfortable standards with special care and attention paid to the upholstery of your bed, using bedding of the highest quality.

The wooden furniture with the inlaid logo of Quintinha on the headboard allied with the light colours of the decor achieve a pleasurable atmosphere making you feel completely at home. The en-suite bathroom includes bathtub with shower attachment, wash basin, bidet and toilet.

STANDARD ROOMS – WITH BALCONY

In each room, there is a distinctive separation between the sleeping area and the living area, emanating a magnitude of spaciousness and comfort. The use of the highest quality wooden furniture, together with pastel colours and natural illumination emphasise the relaxing atmosphere of the room. The en-suite bathroom comprises of a bath with shower attachment, washbasin, bidet and toilet. From the balcony, it is possible to admire the beautiful gardens of the hotel and be overwhelmed by their lush green colour.

JUNIOR SUITE

Decorated with a light interior design and classic touch with exclusively fashioned furniture, every attention to detail has been taken care of to ensure your stay in Quintinha is a truly memorable experience. The room is equipped with all facilities and services guests may require during their stay. The sleeping area is separated from the living area by a low wall where the coffee machine sits and which may also be used as a support table.

The en-suite bathroom has an individual separate toilet with bidet, a bathtub and walk-in shower. The tranquillity of the balcony, overlooking the gardens.

SUITE

All suites have a small entrance hall leading to the independent areas: living room, bedroom and bathroom which includes bathtub with shower fitment, washbasin, bidet and toilet. The decoration allies the traditional Madeira embroidery with exclusively designed furnishings, majestically evoking an atmosphere of sophistication and deluxe coziness, where the guest quickly feels at home.

From the balcony, between the green canopy of the centenary trees of the hotel gardens, one may catch a glimpse of the contrasting blue ocean and the mountains mottled with small houses.

RESTAURANTS/BARS

A Morgadinha Restaurant – Situated in an adjacent building to the Quintinha de São João, and is of traditional Madeiran architecture. It delights its visitors with a large variety of regional and international delicacies, from where we emphasise Goan cuisine as the speciality of the house, guaranteeing, therefore, a delicious repast in a welcoming ambiance.

Vasco da Gama Bar – The Piano Bar “Vasco da Gama”, with a green framed view over the bay of Funchal from the terrace, is the ideal place to enjoy the quieter moments of the day or night in perfect relaxation, sipping one of the varied arrays of cocktails.

Pool Bar – Adjoining the spa and outdoor swimming pool is the “Bar da Piscina”. If you wish to move no further than your sun-bed. Enjoy a relaxing lunch from our special menu at the Pool Bar between 12.00 and 2.30 p.m. Drinks, cocktails and snacks are served until 6.00 p.m. Tea, sandwiches, cakes and scones make an ideal afternoon break – served until 6.00 p.m.

SWIMMING POOLS

Indoor – Housed in the original building of the hotel, where the former outdoor pool was situated, we now provide our visitors with a very special location: – an indoor swimming pool, uniquely framed and surrounded by leafy vegetation, with superb views over the mountains that encircle the city of Funchal.

Outdoor – Next to the Spa, encounter a heated swimming pool with its respective sunbathing area amidst the grass. Here, breathe in the tranquility, the intense aromas, whilst at the same time absorbing the calming view interrupted only by the sound of cascading water, completely in tune with nature.
