Known as the Hostal dos Reis Católicos, this impressive and luxury Parador is a mixture of history, art and tradition, located in the Plaza do Obradoiro in the heart of the historic centre of Santiago de Compostela, at the foot of the Cathedral and close to the main points of historical and artistic interest. The Hostal was founded as a Royal Hospital in 1499 to house the pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Inside, it houses four beautiful cloisters with gardens, columns and fountains. Its rooms breathe the historic air of the building, with exceptional furnishings and decoration. Some rooms have beds with canopies and others are adapted for people with reduced mobility. It has two gastronomic areas, the Dos Reis Restaurant and the Enxebre (typical restaurant). Both offer fish and meat cooked in the Galician style, with market products of the highest quality.
