The Parador de Carmona is located in the
town of Carmona. The building is on the remains of a 14th century Moorish
fortress that crowns the town. It has a swimming pool, terraces with views of
the countryside and a charming interior courtyard surrounded by peaceful
lounges, with stunning stone columns and arches.
The rooms are spacious, bright, elegant and
warmly coloured, some with canopy beds and most with views.
The restaurant, formerly a refectory, is
one of the most spectacular in the Paradores network: it offers beautiful views
of the swimming pool and the bright Andalusian skyline, as well as traditional
food with exquisite pastries and partridge dishes. Some decorative elements,
such as the tiles, will remind you that you are in Andalusian territory, where
the light is special and people are welcoming.
