Overview
Nestled away between the Bali Barat National Park and the Java Sea, the secluded and exclusive Matahari Beach Resort and Spa is the only 5* hotel in the North of Bali and a perfect destination for connoisseurs of luxury and relaxation. This beach resort was built in traditional Balinese style. This hotel features a blue outdoor pool in its garden, which is regarded as the perfect place for relaxation.
The resort has a great diving and snorkeling base, with onsite PADI dive school. We also offer cooking classes, wood carving, stone carving, and painting classes.
Matahari Beach Resort offers free activities that include: early morning Yoga classes, kayaking, beach volley ball, table tennis, badminton, tennis, pitch and putting green. Matahari Beach Resort and Spa is located in the unspoilt north-western part of Bali, directly at the black lava sand beach of Pemuteran village. To the north enjoy a spectacular view of the Java Sea, especially at sunrise and sunset. South of the resort bizarre mountain structures rise into the sky and form the natural entrance to Bali Barat National Park.
Features
The Resort is built in traditional Balinese style and comprises 32 rooms in 16 single storey lavishly decorated bungalows. All bungalows, the mural decorations and the stone statues in the garden are handcrafted by native artists using local materials such as sandstone, palemanan, wood and bamboo, and fit harmoniously into the lush green tropical gardens.
They all have Balinese hand carved wooden folding doors through which you enter the bed-living-room. The rooms are decorated in warm colours with elegant and richly ornamented wooden furniture, a king-size Balinese four-poster bed or two separate beds, and a parquet floor.
An individually adjustable remote controlled air-conditioning, an IDD telephone, a minibar, coffee and tea making facilities and a safe are discreetly integrated. Each bungalow is equipped with a large marble bathroom and a private outdoor dragon shower. The Deluxe and Super Deluxe Bungalows are additionally equipped with double wash-basins and bidets.

Guests can enjoy delicious dishes at the onsite restaurants: Dewi Ramona, which serves international, Mediterranean and Balinese Cuisine; Leon Beach Bistro serving Balinese and Indonesian Cuisine and at Wayang Cocktail Bar guests can go for refreshing beverages.
