Malia Holidays Hotel was built in the 80’s and is still run by the same family today. Both its decor and the family’s hospitality are reminiscent of those years, creating an atmosphere which is hard to find nowadays on the increasingly developed North coast of Crete.

Its lush green gardens and swimming pool area provide the perfect combination for enjoyment and relaxation, while the rooms offer great value for money with all basic amenities included.

There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas of the hotel, such as visit the Archeological site of Malia (the Minoan Palace of King Sarpidon) and enjoy any of the many beautiful beaches. Within a short car drive, one can explore the villages of Krasi, Mohos and Koutouloufari among others.

Moving a little further out (approx. 30-40mins by car), one finds the famous Lasithi Plateau with the Cave of Zeus, Agios Nikolaos town and the city of Heraklion where the airport is situated.

Check in time is 2pm (14:00) and check out is at 12pm (12:00) but we offer a late check out option until either 6pm (18:00) or 9pm (21:00) at an additional cost. This service is available when requested before 11am on the day of departure and is also subject o availability. The reception desk is maned 24/7 to cover any needs or questions you may have at any time.

While it is your holiday, we understand the you may wish to get up early for an excursion or other arrangements you have. Simply contact Reception by dealing 9 on your hotel room telephone and requesting a wake up call service. In addition, we provide a free Wireless internet (Wi-Fi) service, available throughout the hotel once reception have given you the relevant password needed. Credit cards are accepted.

One of the most important parts of life for people in Crete is food so we have many different options to ensure you do not go hungry. A buffet breakfast* is served in the hotel’s restaurant area between 7:30am and 10:00am. Should you wish to have an earlier breakfast, room service or take our breakfast box, please contact Reception and we will arrange this for you. The dinner buffet* is served in the restaurant area between 7pm (19:00) and 9.30pm (21:30).

*We kindly ask that food is not removed from the restaurant area as this is prohibited by food safety and sanitation regulations

Facilities:

During your stay with us, should you need a laptop or fax machine, we can provide you with these at Reception. We can also arrange any laundry service for you (at an additional cost) on a daily basis and organise private customer insurance should this be needed.

The swimming pool is open between 9am and 6pm (18:00) and use of sun beds and umbrellas is free of charge. The pool bar serves drinks and snacks from 10am until 6pm (18:00) as well as a la carte lunch between 11am and 3pm (15:00).

In terms of entertainment, the guests will find a bookcase on the ground floor with a wide selection of books to read and a satellite TV in the communal lounge area (also on the ground floor). The Lobby Bar is situated on the ground floor and open from 5pm (17:00) until 1am.

Upon arrival and/or departure, luggage can be stored in the hotel’s luggage room and if you wish to bring your pets with you, please contact us in advance to arrange this.

Luggage Room: Luggage room is available at the ground floor for storing your luggage.

Pool: Open Pool is available with free umbrellas and sun beds from 09.00 to 18.00.
