A good restaurant on the ground floor, OXBO Urban Bar & Grill, offers Croatian and international dishes in a stylish, contemporary setting with an open-plan kitchen. The emphasis, as the name implies, is on grills – Black Angus steaks, or the signature OXBO Burger – but chef Goran Brnčić cooks up plenty of other imaginative dishes, including vegetarian options such as savoy cabbage roll stuffed with garden vegetables, or buckwheat flour samosas with asparagus and a black truffle and onion soubise. Saturday is ‘Black Angus’ day, with several of the steaks offered for half price. The buffet breakfasts – for which OXBO also provides a stylish setting – are delicious, with plenty on offer to choose from, attentive service and impeccable coffee.

OXBO’s wine bar has an extensive wine list (and an impressive ‘wine wall’), with a good selection of wines by the glass, and some interesting craft beers. It’s worth heading to the garden terrace in fine weather.
