Aghia Pelagia is located in the heart of Crete, just a 35-minute drive from Heraklion, making it a perfect place for lazy beach days or easy trips to the city. This peaceful seaside fishing village is surrounded by the main beach and several smaller coves and bays, all within walking distance. The village itself is relaxed, with charming shops, cozy cafes, and traditional tavernas serving up delicious Cretan mezze platters.

You’ll find a choice of outdoor pools at the complex, including an action pool, children’s freshwater pool and two adults-only relax pools by the pool bar. There is also an adults-only outdoor Jacuzzi in the action pool. Younger guests will love the Mini Club (ages 4-12) and Teens Club (ages 13-16), as well as the rainbow of activities that are available at the hotel, such as table tennis, water polo, basketball, soccer, volleyball, aqua aerobics, scuba diving, tennis and billiards. For those looking for some relaxation, the hotel’s spa facilities are sure to help you unwind (extra charge), from the heated indoor pool (available seasonally) and massage services, to facial and body treatments as well as hydrotherapy.

Food and Drink

The main restaurant offers breakfast and dinner in a relaxed buffet-style with show-cooking stations and views overlooking the sea, whilst lunch is served at the self-service restaurant near the main pool. Guests staying for a minimum of seven days can enjoy one FREE dinner per week in the à la carte restaurant or the Greek Taverna (open six days per week, reservation required). Please note that children under 4 years are not allowed in the a la carte restaurants.

Late-risers can enjoy a continental breakfast at the Pool Bar. You’ll also find snacks and light bites here throughout the day such as pizza, cheese pies, green pies, sandwiches, cake, cookies, desserts and ice cream. Don’t forget to stay refreshed during all that fun in the sun too – there are plenty of bars on-site where you can grab your favourite drinks. There are two Pool Bars, a Beach Bar, a Lobby Bar and a Disco Bar (open six days per week).
